Ex-partner ban at lawyer’s funeral

Norman Sheresky, the prominent New York divorce attorney who died Oct. 19 from pneumonia, made a dying wish banning his partners from his former firm, Sheresky Aronson Mayefsky & Sloan, from his funeral.

We’re told that Sheresky — whose clients included Peter Cook and the exes of James Gandolfini, Dustin Hoffman and Robert Duvall — said former partners David Aronson and Allan Mayefsky were not welcome at Thursday’s rite at the chapel at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home.

Sheresky had a dramatic falling out with them and left the firm in 2010. They formed a new one with Pamela M. Sloan — creating Aronson Mayefsky & Sloan, which has represented clients including Katie Holmes.
