Levi Johnston talks new life with baby Breeze Beretta

Levi Johnston is celebrating the joy of a new addition to his family—and good thing his baby, the charmingly-named Breeze Beretta, is a girl. Why?

Well, Johnston admits to “Inside Edition” that he was crossing his fingers for a daughter saying, “I was hoping it was a girl. I got the tattoo, so I’d be a little angry if it came out a boy.”

He and his girlfriend Sunny Oglesby welcomed their daughter Sept. 12, and named her after a gun.

After being thrust into the national spotlight with the McCain-Palin ticket 2008, Johnston says later in the interview he’s happy to turn a new leaf in his life.

He is now working as an electrician and is through with the Palins and political life saying, “You couldn’t pay me enough to go back to that place. It just wasn’t who I was.”

Johnston admits there is still animosity between him and his ex-girlfriend Bristol Palin, who he has a three-year-old son, Tripp, with. However, he says he gets to see Tripp more than he did before. “It’s still not ideal, but it’s definitely getting better.”

Johnston and Oglesby plan to wed at the end of the year. “Things are good. We’re happy at night. We’re a family, and that’s good,” he says.

Johnston and Oglesby announced the gender and controversial name of their daughter — whose middle name was inspired by Italian firearms manufacturer Beretta — in April.
