Even after St. Patrick’s Day, party madness reigns in Palm Beach. This year “the season seems endless,” says a beach-blanket veteran. “Visitors continue to fly in for spring break and special events. The town is full of people . . . and Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and Mercedes.” The Duke and Duchess of Marlborough — to close pals “Sunny and Lily,” don’t you know — held a St. Paddy’s dinner at the Palm Beach Country Club with Jerry Goldsmith, and we hear that festivities will continue next month, after a Passover and Easter breather, with a private cocktail reception for Sen. Mitch McConnell at La Guerida, the former Kennedy home owned by John
K. and Marianne Castle. The cocktail fund-raiser will be followed by a dinner at Windsong — the 1939 Georgian Revival-style home of Wilbur and Hilary Ross where McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, the former US labor secretary, is also expected. We hear another upcoming hot ticket will be a benefit for the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti, at the Sailfish Club.
