VIP Room to open in NY in September

Two international clubs are expanding to new spaces. VIP Room — which has outposts in Paris, St. Tropez, Monaco, Cannes and Dubai — is taking over the old Kiss & Fly on West 13th Street, and aims to open for New York Fashion Week in September. We hear VIP founder DJ Jean-Roch Pédri has partnered with Shawn Kolodny, who’s worked for Lavo and Pink Elephant, and Ryan Tarantino, an owner of Kiss & Fly, on the new venue. A spy said, “They’ll be fully renovating the space to make it modern, sexy, and sophisticated with state-of-the-art lighting and sound.” Celebs who’ve partied at the club’s international locations include Rihanna, Kanye West, Bradley Cooper, Karl Lagerfeld, Cindy Crawford, Robert De Niro and Jack Nicholson. We also hear that performers from New York and London’s The Box will pop up at Sienna Restaurant & Lounge in East Hampton on Friday. Fifteen of the hot boite’s risqué acts — including a contortionist, glow-in-the-dark dancers and a scantily clad band — will appear for three shows in one wild night.
