“30 Rock” star Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Monte Lapka are splitting after two years of marriage.
“Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Monte Lapka have mutually decided to divorce. The couple have been together for 13 years and were married in N.Y. State two years ago,” a rep for the 38-year-old actor told Playbill. “It is an amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter.”
A source told Us Weekly that Jackson and Lapka, a physicist, were “living separate lives” for some time.
“I haven’t [heard] one particular reason for the separation, but Cheyenne seems to have been changing a lot this past year,” the source said. “His new tattoos … really show how he’s trying to transform himself. I have no idea why he’s doing it, but I’ve been watching it happen, really fast, this past year.”
The couple wed in 2011 in the Hamptons after same-sex marriage was legalized in New York.
