Heather Mills goes nuts over ski boot mix-up

Maybe she should’ve just let it be. Paul McCartney’s one-legged ex-wife Heather Mills exploded into a fit of rage, shoving a Paralympic official and screaming curses after learning she can’t compete in the upcoming Winter Games with her new prosthetic leg, sources said.

Model-turned-pro-skier Mills, 45, burst into a coaches’ meeting at an Austrian hotel, then lunged at committee executive Sylvana Mestre on Monday, Britain’s Express reports.

“You bitch! Don’t you know who I am? I will make your life a misery!” she shouted. She was so out of control that witnesses had to grab Mills and hold her back.

Mills went bananas after learning she had been training for the Winter Games in Russia for months with the wrong prosthetic leg and ski boot. A memo had been sent to all nations regarding “approved” equipment in July, but Mestre pointed out on Monday that Mills was still using the wrong boot, The Post’s Natalie O’Neill reports.

Mestre, 58, was disturbed by the attack but said she won’t press charges.

“Heather tried to grab me. I was in a state of shock, I was completely taken aback,” she said. Mills lost her leg in a motorbike accident in 1993 and hoped to compete in the games for the British ski team. She will likely be fined up to $1,370, and the attack will be reviewed by a Paralympics legal and ethics committee.

An application for her place on Britain’s team was later withdrawn. At least 10 people reportedly saw the outburst, including Slovak coach Branislav Mazgut.

Mills began trying to qualify for the Paralympics in 2008, soon after divorcing McCartney the same year.
