British property tycoon renovating Morris Mansion townhouse

Property tycoon Christian Candy, half of wealthy London development duo Candy & Candy, is in town renovating the 104-year-old Italian Renaissance-style Morris Mansion at 19 E. 70th St., which he bought in October for $35 million.

Brokers say the property, the former Knoedler Gallery, needs a $20 million-plus gut renovation.

Candy and wife Emily were spotted at Nello Friday with their epically named 9-month-old fraternal twins, Isabella Monaco Evanthia and Cayman Charles Wolf.

Christian and his brother Nick — married to singer-actress Holly Valance — amassed their estimated $500 million fortune in less than 15 years.

According to reports, Candy is selling his triplex penthouse at The Plaza hotel for $59 million and the family, who reside in Monaco, will make the former Morris Mansion their main home in the United States.
