Kanye West: ‘Michelle Obama cannot Instagram’ like Kim Kardashian

Kanye West is still intent on seeing fiancée Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue.

The rapper, in a radio interview Tuesday with Ryan Seacrest, claimed Kim is more a fashion influence than Michelle Obama,  reports E! News.

“There’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday,” West said.

The “Yeezus” rapper noted that reality stars like Kardashian, 33, face the difficulty being taken seriously by the fashion world, no matter how influential they are.

“And collectively, we’re the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [Barack Obama] is wearing,” he said. “Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.”

While Vogue editor Anna Wintour looks unlikely to change her mind any time soon, he’s not given up hope, noting how Kardashian is finally starting to be taken seriously by the fashion world.

“[Former French Vogue editor] Carine Roitfeld supports my girl. That’s a breakthrough,” West said of Kardashian’s turn on the cover of CR Fashion Report. “There’s a wall of classism that we are breaking through.”

Seacrest also got the rapper to open up about his engagement to the middle Kardashian sister. The ever-confident West admitted to being a little nervous about the whole thing.

“I was like, ‘I don’t know, what do you think she’s going to say?’ I’m not arrogant about love and feelings at all,” West said.
