Even Sean Penn can’t resist a “Mary Poppins” tune.
The tough guy arrived as Emma Thompson’s guest Friday for a spirited “Poppins” sing-along at LA’s Polo Lounge for Disney’s “Saving Mr. Banks.” Guests included Mickey Rooney.
Thompson is rumored to be singing again at a NYC version of the event Wednesday at the Four Seasons restaurant. “Banks,” which stars Tom Hanks and Thompson as “Poppins” author P.L. Travers, premiered at AFI Fest Thursday in the same theater as the original 1964 film.
