Leonard Lauder introduced Estée Lauder Group president John Demsey at the Phoenix House Fashion Award Dinner, saying, “He often appears in Page Six.”
Then Demsey, who was honored at Wednesday’s event, quipped onstage, “Actually, Leonard, I seem to read about you often in Page Six.”
Cosmetics billionaire Lauder was with his fiancée, Brooklyn Public Library CEO Linda E. Johnson, and despite recently postponing their wedding, we’re told they looked very close.
Also honored at the event hosted by Alina Cho were Tory Burch (introduced by Andrew Rosen) and Bloomingdale’s honcho Frank Doroff. Fashionable guests included Tamara Mellon, Dennis Basso and Stacey Bendet.
