Neneh Cherry performs in London ahead of album release

“Buffalo Stance” rapper Neneh Cherry, who in early 2014 is releasing her first album in 17 years, brought down the house at the first anniversary bash for ­Sushi Samba at Heron Tower in London Tuesday night. The Swedish musician performed a mix of songs from her upcoming album and some of her late 1980s and early ’90s hits. After Cherry’s set, Samantha Ronson and BBC Radio DJ Nick Grimshaw took over the turntables and got Leona Lewis onto the dance floor when they played her hit “Bleeding Love.” ­Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Jack Guinness, Pixie Geldof, Mark Ronson, Jonathan Saunders, Alice Temperley, Katie Grand, Caroline Issa and Sushi Samba founders Shimon Bokovza, Matt Johnson and Danielle Billera were among the 600 guests.
