Media heavyweights came to toast CNN anchor Piers Morgan’s book “Shooting Straight: Guns, Gays, God, and George Clooney.”
Barbara Walters, Charlie Rose, Diane Sawyer, Matt Lauer, Chris Cuomo and Dan Rather were at the Carlyle party. Special guests: Pam and Kenny Ross, who lost their daughter Joanne at Dunblane; Sandy Phillips, whose daughter Jessica was killed at Aurora; and Robbie and Alissa Parker, whose daughter Emilie died in Newtown.
Piers said, “It was great to see so many of my heroes in one room . . . What made it particularly special for me was having three families whose lives were decimated by losing their children in mass shootings . . . They are who this book is for.”
