Don’t be surprised if the character of a hot female anchor with nerd glasses pops up on HBO’s “The Newsroom” soon.
Series creator Aaron Sorkin — who’s known to base characters on the show on women he knows in the media — arrived at the premiere of the documentary “Inequality for All” at the Paley Center for Media with a real newswoman, CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield.
A spy said Sorkin also wanted to make sure he and Banfield were photographed together at the premiere of the movie, about former US Labor Secretary Robert Reich.
Mario Cuomo hosted the event with wife Matilda and daughter Maria. Some guests were delayed by traffic caused by President Obama’s visit to town.
