Kelly Rutherford served as a spontaneous model and auctioneer at the Brazil Foundation’s annual gala Wednesday night at the Museum of Modern Art.
The “Gossip Girl” actress was wearing a pair of earrings by Brazilian jewelry designer Carla Amorim at the gala, and when a pair of the same earrings came up for bidding at the night’s auction, Rutherford hopped up on stage and modeled the jewelry for the crowd.
Eyeing the earrings from the audience were model Izabel Goulart, Lorenzo Martone, Stephen Dorff, Nicky Hilton and Francisco Costa. Rutherford’s eager demonstration helped earn a cool $40,000 for the foundation, which a deep-pocketed donor forked over for the baubles.
